Magnet Prices

The price of magnets varies significantly based on material, performance grade, and market factors. For the widely used Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) magnets, prices are often quoted for the "blank" (unfinished) magnet and are highly dependent on the performance grade. For instance, as of mid-November 2025, the price for M-series NdFeB blanks ranges from 150-170 RMB/kg for 35M grade to 220-240 RMB/kg for 45H grade . Other reports show prices for 45M grade blanks between 244-254 RMB/kg . The cost is directly influenced by the magnet's grade; higher-performance grades (e.g., H, SH, EH) command a higher price due to their superior magnetic properties and more complex manufacturing processes . Market dynamics also play a crucial role. Prices are sensitive to changes in the availability and cost of raw materials, particularly rare earth elements . Furthermore, market activity, such as the level of inquiry from magnet manufacturers and their purchasing strategies (e.g., buying only for immediate needs), can cause price fluctuations .
