Cast aluminum nickel cobalt permanent magnet (AlNiCo magnet) is a traditional alloy permanent magnet material cast from aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron and other metal raw materials through high-temperature melting, mold casting, heat treatment and magnetic field orientation processing. As one of the earliest developed permanent magnet materials in the industry, it has a history of decades of application and is famous for its excellent temperature stability, low temperature coefficient and high remanence. Different from rare earth magnets and ferrite magnets, cast AlNiCo magnets have unique metal alloy structure, with hard and brittle texture, bright metal luster, excellent high-temperature resistance and magnetic stability, and are widely used in high-precision instruments, meters and special industrial equipment fields. The product is divided into isotropic and anisotropic types, and the anisotropic cast AlNiCo magnet has higher magnetic performance and directional magnetic field characteristics.
In terms of core performance, cast aluminum nickel cobalt permanent magnets have unparalleled temperature stability advantages. The magnetic temperature coefficient is only -0.02%/°C, which is far lower than NdFeB magnets and ferrite magnets. It can maintain extremely stable magnetic performance in the temperature range of -50°C to 500°C, with almost no magnetic attenuation in high-temperature environment, and is the permanent magnet material with the widest working temperature range. The product has high remanence, strong magnetic field stability, small magnetic drift and high precision, which can meet the long-term stable operation requirements of high-precision instruments. In terms of magnetic performance, the magnetic energy product of cast AlNiCo magnets ranges from 3–10 MGOe, with strong coercivity and anti-demagnetization ability, not easy to be interfered by external magnetic field and mechanical vibration, and the magnetic field output is accurate and consistent for a long time.
In terms of physical and chemical properties, cast aluminum nickel cobalt permanent magnets have excellent comprehensive performance. The alloy structure is dense and uniform, with high mechanical strength, good hardness and wear resistance, not easy to deform and damage during long-term precision operation. The metal surface has good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, no need for complex surface protection treatment, and can stably resist conventional environmental corrosion and oxidation. The product has good magnetic linearity, stable magnetic field output, small error, and is very suitable for precision induction and measurement equipment. In addition, cast AlNiCo magnets have good machinability, can be processed into various complex shapes such as strips, blocks, columns, rings and special-shaped parts through turning, milling, grinding and other mechanical processing, with high dimensional accuracy and meeting the personalized customization requirements of precision equipment.
Cast aluminum nickel cobalt permanent magnets are mainly used in high-precision, high-temperature and high-stability industrial fields that require strict magnetic accuracy. In the instrument and meter industry, they are core magnetic components of pointer ammeters, voltmeters, pressure gauges, flow meters and precision measuring instruments, providing stable and accurate magnetic field support for instrument measurement and ensuring high-precision measurement data. In the electrical equipment industry, they are applied to high-temperature motors, special generators, magnetic switches and electromagnetic control equipment, adapting to high-temperature working environments that ordinary magnets cannot bear. In the aerospace and military industry, they serve as magnetic components of aviation precision instruments, navigation equipment and military control systems, with stable performance and high reliability. In addition, they are also widely used in scientific research experimental equipment, medical precision instruments, industrial detection sensors and special automation equipment. Although the magnetic energy product of cast AlNiCo magnets is lower than that of rare earth NdFeB magnets, their ultra-high temperature stability and magnetic precision make them irreplaceable in high-precision and high-temperature special scenarios, and they have lasting application value in the professional industrial field.
