Bonded Neodymium Iron Boron Flexible Magnet

Time:2026-08-27 Views:0

Bonded Neodymium Iron Boron flexible magnet, also known as bonded NdFeB flexible magnet, is a high-performance composite permanent magnet material formed by uniformly mixing fine neodymium iron boron magnetic powder with flexible polymer binders such as rubber and resin, followed by compression molding, extrusion, or calendaring processing. Unlike traditional rigid sintered NdFeB magnets, this type of magnet retains excellent magnetic properties while possessing outstanding flexibility, bendability, and ductility, making it a unique functional magnetic material that bridges the gap between high magnetic energy product and flexible usability. The production process of bonded NdFeB flexible magnets is precise and environmentally friendly, with no high-temperature sintering required, which effectively avoids the grain growth and magnetic performance attenuation caused by high-temperature treatment in traditional magnet manufacturing. The magnetic powder used in the product is ultra-fine spherical NdFeB powder with uniform particle size distribution, which ensures consistent magnetic flux density across the entire surface of the magnet and stable magnetic output without local magnetic deviation.

In terms of core performance parameters, bonded neodymium iron boron flexible magnets have a much higher magnetic energy product than ordinary rubber ferrite flexible magnets, with a typical magnetic energy product range of 6–12 MGOe, which is 3–5 times that of conventional soft ferrite magnets. This enables the product to achieve stronger magnetic adsorption force in the same volume and thickness, realizing lightweight and miniaturized magnetic component design. The material has excellent flexibility and can be freely bent, rolled, twisted, and cut into any irregular shape without cracking, demagnetization, or damage to the magnetic structure. Its tensile strength reaches 2.5–4 MPa, and the elongation at break is more than 80%, adapting to various curved, folded, and deformed installation environments that rigid magnets cannot meet. In terms of dimensional accuracy, bonded NdFeB flexible magnets support ultra-thin processing, with a minimum thickness of 0.3mm, and the flatness error of the sheet material is controlled within ±0.05mm, meeting the high-precision assembly requirements of precision electronic equipment.

The environmental adaptability of bonded neodymium iron boron flexible magnets is also outstanding. The polymer binder forms a dense protective layer on the surface of the magnetic powder, which effectively isolates air, moisture, and corrosive media, endowing the product with good moisture-proof, rust-proof, and anti-oxidation capabilities. The working temperature range is -40°C to 80°C, and it can maintain stable magnetic performance in low-temperature cold environments and normal-temperature indoor and outdoor environments without obvious demagnetization. Compared with sintered NdFeB magnets, it has better vibration resistance and impact resistance, and will not chip or break under frequent vibration and mechanical collision, greatly improving the service life of magnetic components in dynamic working conditions. In addition, the product has good processability, can be punched, cut, die-cut, and laminated arbitrarily, and supports back glue, UV printing, coating and other post-processing, which is convenient for personalized customization and rapid mass production.

Bonded neodymium iron boron flexible magnets are widely used in multiple high-precision and flexible application fields. In the consumer electronics industry, they are used for magnetic assembly of mobile phone accessories, tablet computer brackets, wearable devices such as smart watches and bracelets, providing stable magnetic positioning and adsorption functions while adapting to the curved design of electronic products. In the intelligent home industry, they are applied to magnetic door seals of refrigerators, air conditioner wind deflector magnetic parts, intelligent sensor magnetic induction components, and flexible magnetic fixing parts of smart furniture. In the advertising and packaging industry, they are made into flexible magnetic stickers, magnetic display boards, gift box magnetic closures, and promotional magnetic ornaments, with the advantages of easy pasting, repeated disassembly and no damage to the attachment surface. In the industrial automation field, they serve as flexible magnetic induction strips for proximity switches, magnetic scale induction components, and soft magnetic fixing parts for automated production tooling. Moreover, in the fields of medical equipment, automotive interior accessories, and toy manufacturing, the product also shows irreplaceable application value due to its flexibility, high magnetism, and safety. With the continuous upgrading of lightweight and flexible intelligent equipment, bonded neodymium iron boron flexible magnets have become one of the fastest-growing new magnetic materials in the permanent magnet industry, with broad market development prospects.
